Review your pages, photographs, posts, forms and important web addresses. Keep a backup and establish what needs to stay.

Enter your school’s information, map useful existing content and preview the DSW appearance. Check the proposed setup before replacing the live website.

Keep the essentials working.
Check pages, links, contact details and enquiry forms. Agree any redirects and a way back before making the new website live.
Keep what’s useful.
Existing WordPress pages, photographs and posts can be reviewed for reuse. Useful driving advice or news need not be discarded simply because you are changing the design.
DSW is being designed not to delete or overwrite existing content automatically. Reusing a page-builder layout or a specialist feature may need separate work.
Your existing URLs matter.
Pages that appear in search results or receive links should be identified before a move. Keep useful addresses where practical; plan appropriate redirects where a page genuinely changes address.
A careful migration reduces avoidable disruption. It is not a guarantee that search rankings or traffic will stay the same.

Already using WordPress?
Your current theme, plugins and content structure need to be reviewed together. Older themes, page builders and custom functionality may need more preparation than a straightforward site.
Using another platform?
The new DSW system runs on WordPress. A site on another platform needs a separately planned move; there is no promise of one-click conversion.
Moving from another provider?
You do not need to be an existing DSW customer. Check access to your domain, hosting and content, and any existing commitments, before deciding how to move.
A short checklist before you begin.
Have your current website address, WordPress access if applicable, domain and hosting details, and a list of essential pages and features ready.
Check that you have permission to reuse photographs and written content. Treat email accounts, domain changes and hosting changes as separate decisions—not automatic consequences of changing a theme.
Already a DSW customer?
Your existing hosting and support continue separately while the new system is developed. There is no requirement to move immediately.
The customer account and support link remains in the footer. DSW is based on WordPress rather than a closed website builder; final setup, pricing and licensing will be explained before purchase.
